Types of Meats
Calabrese salami is a spicy, coarsely ground pork salami that originated in the Calabria region of Southern Italy. It's known for its red pepper flakes, paprika, and Calabrian chilies.
Soppressata Salami is a naturally air-dried Italian dry salami. It is a flavorful, robust salami, made with ground pork, seasoned with paprika, black pepper, red pepper, black peppercorns, other spices and red wine!
Summer sausage is a cured meat that's typically made from beef or pork, and can be kept without refrigeration until opened. It's often seasoned with mustard seeds, garlic, and pepper.
Prosciutto is an Italian dry-cured ham that's thinly sliced, it is known for its saltiness and distinctive flavor. It can be eaten as-is without being pre-soaked and cooked.
Pepperoni is a variety of spicy salami made from cured pork and beef seasoned with paprika and chili peppers.
Pancetta is Italian cured pork, the equivalent of streaky bacon. It has a deep, strong, slightly salty flavor, is fairly fatty, and comes either smoked or unsmoked.
